Bourbon Apple Fizz

This delicious holiday cocktail is easy to make, beautiful to serve, and surprisingly light & refreshing. Take the long road by making your own Apple Bourbon and Simple Syrup, or buy the ingredients at the store and whip it up in a second. Either way it’s the perfect simple cocktail to serve this holiday season.

1.5 oz. Apple Bourbon (You can buy pre-made; Bouquet Restaurant makes their own, and it’s delicious.)
.5 oz. Cinnamon Simple Syrup (see recipe)
.25 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
3 oz Ginger Hopwater

Fill a highball glass with ice. Combine ingredients, mix, and pour over ice. Stir well, garnish with lime wedge and a straw.

Cinnamon Simple Syrup

While you can buy Cinnamon Simple Syrup at any party supply store, it’s so easy to make that it’s a shame not to.

Just bring 1 part water and 1 part sugar to a simmer in saucepan with 1/4 part ground Cinnamon. Remove from heat when combined, cool to room temperature and use fine mesh strainer to remove excess cinnamon.
